Artist Statement

Fine art  has been an interest of mine since I was young, but it became a passion in my adult years. I use traditional oil paint techniques to paint a variety of common subjects.  My compositions reflect the effects of light, shadow, color and pattern on ordinary objects. I believe that the ability to depict detail allows the viewer to interact with the work much more deeply adding curiosity and appreciation for the beauty of every day items.
